It is believed that this equipment is available only from Pitney Bowes, manufacturer, and no other mailing/shipping system will satisfy the requirements of this agency due to configuration and special sensors without restrictions.This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) of FAR Part 13.6 for commercial items. All interested parties may identify their interests, but must provide provide proof of capability, in writing, to provide an acceptable, comparable product by submitting pricing data, and complete, accurate and detailed description of their like product. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within (15) fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No 077MASO99 is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). The Solicitation/Purchase Order will include all applicable provisions and clauses in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-06. This requirement is not a Small Business Set-Aside.
