The overall scope of work consists of the Contractor providing all materials, labor, supervision and equipment required to complete the project. Two new buildings will be constructed, a vehicle maintenance facility and a Training Facility. Elements of work included in this project are: removal of exisitng topsoil and vegetation, excavation for footings and foundations, utilities and sitework, demolition of some exisitng facility features, construction of new facilities, roads, improvements and parking, the alteration of an exisitng Arms Vault and installation of required utilities from Base distribution systems to the new facilities as per plans and specifications provided by the Government. The Construction time is 365 calendar days. The magnitude of this project is between 1 and 5 million dollars. The project will be bid as a lump sum, firm fixed price type contract. The issue date for the solicitation is on or about 1 July 99 with a bid opening date of on or around 3 Aug 99. The solicitation is unrestricted, all responsible parties may submit a bid. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 15 Jul 99 at 10:00 at the Stewart ANG Base. The Standard Industrial Code applicable to this project is 1542.
