This synopsis is FOR INFORMATION ONLY. No solicitation will be issued. The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) intends to award a sole source contract to PO START, Atomic Energy Department of the Russian Federation to produce and deliver 73 one (1) kilometer sets of the perimeter security system known as the Protva microwave sensor system and its associated ancillary components. This effort is tied to an agreement between the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and the Russian Ministry of Defense (RFMOD) to provide assistance with the acquisition of certain physical security systems/equipment and ancillary materials to improve the security of selected nuclear weapons storage facilities in Russia. This requirement must be performed by an organization whose products have been certified by RFMOD.
