Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to solicit proposals for the
production of an estimated quantity of 7500 CRU-103/P Oxygen Demand
Regulators. The CRU-103/P Regulator is a chest-mounted, positive
pressure, G-modulated regulator that provides both positive pressure
for altitude (PBA) and positive pressure for "G" (PBA) pressure demand
oxygen flow to the Aircrew member. Two product samples will be
required of all offerors at the time of proposal submission. The
product samples will be assessed as part of the proposal evaluation to
ensure they satisfy the Government's minimum design and technical
requirements as detailed in the Technical Requirements Document and the
Technical Drawings. The Technical Requirements Document is available on
the www.navair.navy.mil/air20/air214/conhome.htm and from the Point of
Contact (POC) listed below. Technical Drawings are available in
Aperture Card format and may be on CDROM Anvil/Computer Vision format
from the POC listed below. Technical Evaluation criteria shall be based
on Aperture Card. NAVAIR intends to issue a solicitation within the
next 3 months. Proposals with product samples will be due to NAVAIR
approximately 6 months after the solicitation is released. Evaluation
of product samples and technical proposals will take approximately
45-60 days. Product samples/information shall be submitted at no
expense to the Government and will be returned at the offeror's request
and expense unless destroyed during pre-award evaluation. It is
anticipated that a solicitation for a firm fixed price contract with a
base quantity of approximately 3000 units and two option years for
3000 units and 1500 units respectfully. The anticipated contract will
be an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity type contract that will
provide for the issuance of Firm Fixed Price Delivery Orders. The SIC
code for this acquisition is 3728 which has a size standard of 1000
employees. This announcement contains the best currently available
information and is subject to change. A determination by the Government
not to award the proposed contract after release of this synopsis is
solely within the discretion of the Government. All responsible sources
may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by this agency. All
responses to this CBD announcement will be kept confidential and will
not be binding for the Government or the contractor. Proprietary data
in the responses will be protected where so designated. All interested
