This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information include in this notice. This announcement constitute the only solicitation: proposal are being requested as a Request For Proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. This acquisition is 100% set aside for exclusive small-business participation IAW FAR 19.5. The minimum specifications for the Form and Surface texture Measurement System is as follows: 50MM INDUCTIVE TRAVERSE UNIT REQUIREMENT -- 1)Inductive traverse length shall be 50mm, 2) Traverse speed shall be 10mm/sec maximum, 3) Return speed shall be 2.5mm, 4) Gauge type shall be inductive 1mN force nominal (Diamond Stylus Arm), 5) Measuring range shall be 1mm maximum, 6) Measuring range resolution shall be 16nm @ 1mm range, 3nm @ 0.2mm range, 0.6nm @ 0.04 mm range, 7) Range to resolution ra tio shall be 65,536:1 or better. TRAVERSE UNIT REQUIREMENT -- 1) To best fit straight line shall be 0.4um over 50mm, 2) to best fit circular arc shall be 0.2um over 9.5mm, 3) Dimensions shall be 374x114x125mm, 4) Weight shall be 7Kg, 5)Standard surface texture analysis software shall be supplied to measure roughness and waviness on a test specimen, 6) System shall be computer controlled, 7) Training on the system shall be given to at least three individuals.
