This is a sources sought synopsis for obtaining information for planning and funding purposes. The Government has a requirement to dismantle and remove seven (7) large sized trespass (unauthorized) structures from the Tanana Flats and Salchaket Slough areas of Fort Wainwright, Alaska. The structures have varied accessibility which includes air (helicopter), air boat and boat during the summer months, and snowmachines and air (helicopter) during the winter months. Interested parties will be forwarded the Performance Work Statement (PWS) with attachments that identify the Government's requirements, and the performance that would be required of a Contractor with award of a contract. Since the requirement is in the planning stages, the Government's objective is to obtain the following information from prospective commercial contractors who are interested in the project: (a) comments regarding the elements of the PWS; (b) feedback as to the best method of dismantling or demolishing the seven (7) structuresidentified; (c) an estimated cost for the performance required; and (d) proposed changes to the requirement that would reduce the estimated cost to the Government. In keeping with FAR Provision 52.215-3, dated Oct 1997, the Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice, or to otherwise pay for the information requested.
