a Historic Resource Study for Lassen Volcanic National Park, Mineral,
CA. The work to be completed involves the preparation of a
comprehensive account of the human history of the area and discuss the
park's known cultural resources and their related historic themes
within a framework of historic context statements. The study will use
primary and secondary sources to chronicle all themes that are found to
be relevant to the area's history. Significant areas and resources
associated with these themes shall include, but not be limited to:
Native American use and occupation of the land, early explorers, fur
traders, pioneers, overland migration, trails, transportation routes,
early settlement and land use, early resource extraction, Forest
Reserve administration, early resort development, monuments
established, park establishment, early park development Civilian
Conservation Corps, park expansion, visitor use, tourism and research.
The Contractor shall also identify and evaluate any undocumented
National Register eligible properties within the park. The extant,
above ground cultural resources (excluding American Indian related and
archeological properties) located within the park shall be identified,
mapped, evaluated, and nominated as appropriate to the National
Register of Historic Places, as required by NPS-28, Cultural Resource
Management Guidelines and Section 110 of the National Historic
Preservation Act of 1966, as amended. The contractor shall be the
primary researcher and author. The contractor must meet the Secretary
of Interior's Professional qualifications standards for historians.

Base Year; Option Year One (subject to available funds); Option year
Two (subject to available funds). The Standard Industrial
Classification is 8999. All request for solicitation packages must be
