Michael Dodd, SEA 02522, (703) 602-8000 Ext 568 The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue orders on multiple occasions for a period of up to three years under a new Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00024-99-G-5222 with Northrop Grumman Norden Systems (NGNS) of 65 Marcus Drive, Melville, NY 11747. Orders will be issued for equipment changes and Ordnance Alteration (ORDALT) Kit installation for the AN/SPQ-9B Radar System. This includes field change kits, engineering change kits, and engineering change proposals. All materials and services incidental to such work (equipment, piece parts, components, accessories, etc.) are also included. In appropriate cases, any equipment change and/or ORDALT Kit installation may be handled by the issuance of an order to determine the extent of work which the Contractor may be required to provide. NGNS is the original designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the AN/SPQ-9B Radar System. Therefore, no other firm possesses the technical expertise required to perform the work that will be required by the Government. This BOA will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1).
