The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a modification to the AV-8B Harrier II Plus Production contract (N00019-97-C-0046) with McDonnell Douglas Corporation, St. Louis, Missouri, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, to incorporate ECP 277 "Polyimide Wire Replacement/Power Wire Separation". This ECP will be retrofitted into delivered AV-8B aircraft. As the sole developer and manufacturer of the AV-8B airframe, McDonnell Douglas Corporation is the only source with the experience and technical data required to perform this effort.
