The Federal Highway Administration has a requirement to lease computer
training facilities for the next two (2) years for a course entitled,
"Using the National ITS Architecture for Deployment." The training
facilities are required for approximately seven (7) presentations in
calendar year 1999 and approximately twelve (12) in year 2000 to
present the training course. This training course prepares
transportation professionals to use the National Architecture in the
planning and deployment of ITS projects. This is a 2-3 day course which
utilizes computer assisted training and makes extensive use of the
National ITS Architecture CD-ROM. These services will be limited to
competition within the Washington Metropolitan area and the training
facility must be within a "normal" 10-minute walk from a Metro Rail
Train station. The FHWA will also accept proposals from facilities that
will provide a courtesy shuttle bus service but that is also limited to
a 10-minute ride from the Metro Rail Train station. All interested
parties shall fax a request to Stephanie Curtis on (202)366-3293 to
request the solicitation package. Your fax shall include the company
name, address, contact person, phone and fax number as well as the
solicitation number. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS OR E-MAIL REQUESTS WILL BE
HONORED. This is a Simplified Acquisition and will be awarded on an
unrestricted basis. An award of a purchase order will be made to the
responsible offeror whose offer is most advantageous to the government.
Bids will be due on June 16, 1999. Anticipated Award date will be on or
about June 25, 1999. Posted 05/18/99 (D-SN332590). (0138) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0105 19990520\X-0001.SOL)
