K -- MODIFICATION OF EQUIPMENT, SEWAGE TANK PUMPER SOL RQ-1200-99-012 DUE 052499 POC Wally Salonka, Technical POC, 303 969-2571; Sonya Armstrong, CO, 303 969-2540 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and NO WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED. The solicitation number is RQ-1200-99-012, this is a REQUEST FOR QUOTES. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Fed. Acq. cir. 97-06. Standard Classification Code: 3589 applies. *Provide your written offer for: Sewage Pumper Unit that is to be mounted onto a 1999 Freightliner model FL70 cab chassis. The truck chassis will have a wheelbase of 185 inches and a cab axle of 120 inches. The GVWR is 33,000 pounds. The truck will have a caterpillar 230 HP engine with an MD-3060P Allison transmission. THE TRUCK UNIT SHALL BE DELIVERED TO THE TANK MANUFACTURER FOR MOUNTING OF THE SEWAGE TANK. Truck will be ready to ship to tank manufacturer on or about July 1, 1999. Period of Performance is: 45-60 days. Park personnel will accept the completed unit after mounting and training for the operation of the unit. *Sewage Pumper Specifications-1.Tank Capacity, total of 1600 gallon, (approximately), 800 gallons of water front compartment, 800 gallons of sewage rear compartment. 2.Tank Diameter/Length-Approx. 58 inches with dome heads and 127 inch shell, 3.Tank construction-5/16 steel with baffles in ea. compartment. There shall be roll over protection on the top. The tank shall have a 4" slope from front to rear. There shall be ladder rungs welded to side of tank to allow person to get on top of unit. 4.Fresh Water Tank-There shall be a clear tube for sight glass. Fill shall be 4-6 inch with lid that tightens down securely. There shall be a 1 inch ball valve at bottom and line running to the forward left (drivers side) portion of tank to electric retractable hose reel. Hose reel shall have 100 ft. of 1 inch hose on it. Reel shall face to the left side of vehicleand have rollers on top, bottom and sides for pulling out hose. There shall be a meter between water tank & hose reel for metering amount of water being discharged. Water meter shall be in gallons and capable of being reset back to 0. There shall be a filter prior to the meter. Meter shall be used to read both the 1" and 2 1/2" water discharge lines. There shall be piping from bottom of water tank connecting to a 2 1/2" ball valve. This shall be located on drivers side. 5.Sewage Tank-The access entry shall be 24" in diameter with a hand closing handle to secure it. At back of tank, have a 4" discharge ball valve with a 12-15 degree angle. This shall be protected by rear bumper. Suction of the product shall enter into tank from bottom rear portion of tank through 4" ball valve with 2" reducer on it. Product shall then be carried to top of inside tank through piping system, then dispersed into tank. The 4" valve with 2" reducer shall be at ground level at rear of unit and shall be protected. There shall bea stainless steel float with mechanical level indicator located at rear of tank. 6. Body-The body around the tank shall be made from steel. There shall be a solid floor around the body for placing items onto. Sides shall be 12" high except for where hose reel is located. That area shall have a 6" side from the floor. There shall be one compartment on each side with hinged door at bottom and latch at top. No shelves needed. Size shall be large as possible not to exceed 48" long. Mud flaps shall be off body. There shall be two hose tubes mounted to each side of tank for holding a 10' section of hose. 7.Pump shall be a Masport or equal. Pump shall have pump on/off capabilities. Pump shall also operate water pressure for the 1" water line from hose reel. Pump shall be pto driven. Tank manufacturer shall include pto and shaft and mount the unit for overall operation. Truck Manufacturer will have dash lights & controls pre-installed. Vacuum and relief valves shall be ASME code type rated. There shall be swing check valve for anti-spin, shall be PTO driven pump with cab controls, Shall be Liquid Filled Pressure/vacuum gauge. 8.Scrubber-Havae a secondary moisture trap scrubber with stainless steel ball shut off with ball type drain valve on bottom. 9.Hoses-There shall be 2 each 4" clear spiral hoses 10" long with cam locks furnished. 10.Paint-The unit shall be painted the same color as the truck. 11.Truck Chassis-Truck Chassis will be delivered to the tank manufacturer for mounting and total operation of the tank. 12.Testing & Delivery-There shall be testing prior to taking delivery. Park personnel shall be instructed on the usage of the unit at the manufacturers facility after a complete operation of the unit.
