The SIC code is 7375 with a size standard of $18 million. The DHHS/DAM/ADP Acquisitions Branch plans to issue a request for proposal (RFP) to provide operation of the Office of Minority Health's Resource Center (OMHRC) with expansion to include an HIV component. The goal of the OMHRC is to improve the health of special populations. This is accomplished by collecting and disseminating minority-health-related information, assisting in analysis of health issues affecting minority populations, and educating professionals and consumers on (a) minority health status and health issues, (b) the factors and trends affecting them, (c) resources for developing effective health programs and (d) ways to achieve better health outcomes. The Contractor shall also be required to build on and expand the existing OMHRC resources including (a) HIV/AIDS information contained in its library, web pages, publications and databases; (b) and its procedures for managing library, web pages and databases; inquiry response and tracking; acquisitions; editorial, promotion and outreach functions; and RPN recruitment and use. The anticipated period of performance is a basic period of one (1) year with three (3) (12 month) option periods. The RFP will be issued approximately fifteen (15) days from date of publication of this notice. The closing date shall be approximately thirty (30) days after issuance of the RFP.
