NASA/KSC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Miniport Receiver, 10 KHz to 3 GHz, Model ED 200 (1 ea); Digiscan Frequency Sepctrum Option, Model EB200DS (1 ea); IF Panorama Option, Model EB 200SU (1 ea); LAN TCP/IP Interfaces, RJ 45, Model EB 200R4 (1 ea); Carrying Case w/Antenna, Strap & Headset, Model EB 200SC (2 ea); Rechargeable Battry Pack for EB 200, Model EB 200BP (2 ea); Active Directional Antennas, 20 to 3,000 MHz, Model HE 200 (2 ea); HP Dipole for HE 200, 10 kHz to 20 MHz; Model HE 200HF (2 ea). This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/KSC intends to purchase the items from Rohde & Schwarz, 4425 Nicole Drive, Lanham, MD 20706 on a sole source basis. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested firms have five (5) days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will beused solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after May 28, 1999 or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
