Construct repairs to the inner (landward) end of the Grays Harbor South Jetty at Westport, Grays Harbor County, Washington. The repairs will consist of the removal of remnant rock from the inner 250 feet of the existing jetty; construction of a refraction-diffraction mound at the inner (landward) end of the jetty; construction of a gravel transition beach adjacent to the refraction/diffraction mound along the Half Moon Bay side of the shoreline; and adding armor rock to the jetty where it abuts the shoreline. The refraction/diffraction mound will be constructed with a core of rock removed from the remains of the eastern 250 feet of the jetty and an outer layer of new rock consisting of 100 to 10,000 pound graded riprap. The transition beach will be constructed of naturally occurring +3/8 inch gravel and cobbles to provide a transition in material gradation from the constructed mound to the existing sandy beach. The final feature of the jetty repair is to add armor rock (+20,000 pounds) to raise the existing jetty height in the area that abuts the shoreline (approximately 650 feet in length) and adding a quarry spall filter between the adjacent shoreline and the jetty stone. This Solicitation will be issued as an Electronic Bid Set (EBS) or CD-Rom format only. EBS CD-Rom disks with plans and specs available on or about 15 July 99 at no charge per set. No individual sheets are available. EBS CD-Rom disks will be issued on a first come, first served basis until supply is exhausted. No phone requests accepted.
