description specified in Amendment 0003 dated 28 April 1999 is hereby
deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following: Contractor
shall provide one (1) 135kW out door back-up generator and all labor
and material necessary to complete the installation and ensure full
operation of the generator. The generator fuel tank shall as a minimum
support the generator set for at least 24 hours. In addition, the
contractor shall accomplish the following; 1) Emergency feeder (4)
#500kCM THWN in 4" rigid steel conduit, to replace existing. Remove
control wiring and conduit. Remove existing feeder (wires only), reuse
conduit for new control wiring. 2) Remove existing 100 AMP fusible
disconnect switch near generator existing generator pad. 3) 400 Ampere,
3-pole, 250 VAC automatic transfer switch to replace existing 100 Amp
automatic transfer switch. 4) 400 Amp, 3-phase, 4-wire 120/208V
panelboard to handle all loads of proposed back-up generator.
Panelboard shall contain 400 Amp main circuit breaker and two branch
breakers(1) rated 225 Amps, 3-pole and (1) rated 100 Amps, 3-pole; (2)
60 AT, 3-pole for proposed AC units at LAN Room, Second floor, and (3)
20A, 1-pole for generator battery charger and jacket water heater. 5)
Remove existing 225A, 3P circuit breaker serving panel "TPA" from
existing Panel "PDP" and replace with new 400 Amp, 3-pole circuit
breaker to serve as normal power source to new ATS. Connect with (4)
#500kCM THWN and #2 ground in 3-inch RGS. 6) Reroute circuits for Panel
"EM" and Panel "TP-A to new distribution panel. 7) Wire under floor
receptacles in Communication Room 209 to circuits #4 and #6 in Panel
"TPA". Reroute/resuse existing wiring. 8) Reroute existing wiring for
under floor outlets rated 30A-208V in Communication Room to Panel
"TPA-A". Provide 1-30A, 2P circuit breaker in available space. 9)
Remove all other existing under floor outlets connected to Panel "EM"
at Third Floor. 10) Provide two quad receptacles in Hub Room 308. Serve
each with an individually dedicated circuit. Connect to Panel "EM"
circuits #13 and #15. 11) Label all outlets affected by this
modification. 12) Install generator remote annunciator near panel
"TPA-A" in Room 211 (LAN Room), second floor. Wire controls to new
generator via new automatic transfer switch. Install/connect control
wiring in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. 14) Transfer
lighting circuits of Room 209 (Comm. Room) and Room 211 (LAN Room) to
Panel "TPA". Working Hours: All work within office spaces shall be
accomplished between 1700 (5:00 p.m.) and 0500 (5:00 a.m.) on week days
and week ends. Interruption to electric services shall be considered
utility cutovers. Utility cutovers and interruptions shall be
accomplished after normal working hours, 1700 (5:00 p.m.) and 0500
(5:00 a.m.) on weekdays and weekends. The contractor shall commence
work upon receipt of contract award notification. Contractor shall
complete the entire work ready for use no later than 150 calendar days
after date of award. The time stated for completion shall include
final clean up of the premises. The contractor shall maintain a minimum
insurance during the entire period of performance under this contract
of 1) Comprehensive general liability $500,000 per occurrence,
Automobile liability; $200,000 per person, $500,000 per occurrence,
$20,000 per occurrence for property damages; Workmen's compensation as
required by Federal and State workers' compensation stamped approved
from the State of California Department of Labor and Industrial
Relations is required. Employer's liability coverage of $100,000,
except in the States where workers compensation may not be written by
private carrier; others required by State Law. Techincal Attachment
(3), Load Survey/Projected Load Survey, and Technical Attachment (4),
Electrical Drawings is deleted in its entirety and replaced with the
Revised Technical Attachment (3R), Back-up Power Selected Areas B-570,
and Technical Attachment (4R), Electrical Drawings. Revised Technical
Attachments can be obtained by contacting Bea Appling at (619)
553-7688. The closing date and time remains at 21 May 1999, 11:00 a.m.,
