Carol Terrell, Carol.Terrell@msfc.nasa.gov. NASA/MSFC plans to issue a
Request for Quote (RFQ) for a research study entitled "Integrated
Design Optimization Methodology for Rocket Engine Injectors". This
study is being procured under the University Research Basic Ordering
Agreement (BOA) Program with the university community within the United
States. The purpose of this study is to develop a new integrated design
optimization methodology for rocket engine injectors. Research will be
at the contractor's facility with a period of performance of 12
months. Quotations will be evaluated using best value criteria
stipulated in the BOA. This procurement is being conducted under the
Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The SIC Code and Size Standard
are 8733 and 500 respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurment is
DO-C9. The anticipated release date of RFQ 8-1-9-ED-C3729 is on or
about June 2, 1999 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about
June 16, 1999. All qualified responsible sources may submit a quote
which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been
appointed -- See Internet Note "B". Questions shall be submitted in
writing. The cut-off date for questions is June 14, 1999 at 2:30 pm.
Any response to questions will be posted at this site. The solicitation
and any documents related to this procurement will be available over
the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office Suite (Word
6.0, Excel 5.0, or PowerPoint 4.0) format and will reside on a World
Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser
