U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), San Francisco, CA is interested in consolidating contracts for durable medical equipment -- supplies and services contracts. Currently, the government awards and administers these contracts separately at each of its medical centers for San Francisco, Martinez, Palo Alto, Fresno, and other sites in northern California. The government is considering a single consolidated award, one FFP type contract, with a 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods. The contractor shall furnish, deliver, set-up, recover, clean, store, and reissue new and used medical equipment and supplies to VAMC beneficiaries' homes or to VA. The contractor shall be JCAHO compliant. The government will make available the specific provisions, terms, and conditions in its solicitation to be issued at a later date.
