Y -- SEDGE ISLANDS BREACH REPAIR, SEDGE ISLANDS, BARNEGAT INLET, OCEAN COUNTY, NJ SOL DACW61-99-B-0022 DUE 062499 POC Jennifer McGivern, Contract Specialist, 215 656-6773 Project consists of providing all labor, equipment and material necessary to construct an approximately 2,500 foot long dune in front of a breach which opened between the North Channel of Barnegat Inlet and Little Bay, threatening significant wildlife habitat. Construction of the dune includes subgrade preparation, installation of geotextile skirt, deployment of sand filled geotextile tubes (geotubes), backfilling around the geotubes, and filling and grading to the design profile. Sand used to fill the geotubes and for backfilling will come from material generated by dredging the navigation channel. The solicitation documents will be furnished on CD-ROM on or about May 25, 1999. One copy of the plans and specifications will be furnished on CD-ROM to each bidder at no charge.
