The National Institute on Drug Abuse, Science Education Program, is soliciting proposals from qualified small businesses having the capability to develop materials for school children which are designed to improve their knowledge of science, and stimulate a curiosity and interest in science. The purpose of this procurement is to develop and produce a set of materials for grades two through three, with options for grades kindergarten through first, and grades fourth and fifth. The materials will consist of an 8-10 minute video and accompanying print materials for the students and their teachers and parents. NIDA anticipates that a fourteen month incrementally funded cost-reimbursement (completion) type contract, with options for two additional years, will result from this procurement. RFP No. N01DA-9-2070 will be available electronically on or about May 24, 1999, and may be assessed through the Internet at the following address (URL: http://www.nida.nih.gov/RFP/RFPList.html).
