Smith, Purchasing Agent, 919/541-0635 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to negotiate sole source with Multimedia Envirosoft Corporation, 3231 Ocean Park Blvd., Suite 222, Santa Monica, CA 90405 to supply technical and systems design support for the development of a next generation fully coupled multimedia compartmental model blueprint. Multimedia Envirosoft Corporation, posses unique knowledge of the proprietary structure, systems design and implementation of the MEND-TOX Model necessary for the successful application or adaptation of the MEND-TOX approach under EPA's Models-3 and multimedia integrated modeling system(MIMS)computer frameworks. EPA believes Multimedia Envirosoft Corporation is the only vendor capable of satisfying the modifications requirements stated above. Only Multimedia Envirosoft Corporation, can modify the proprietary source code to meet the needs of EPA. The period of performance is expected to be from Effective date of award through September 30, 2000. No Solicitation is available. All interested parties who believe they can provide the required services should fully explain their capabilities in writing within 15 days of the date of this announcement. The intent of this synopsis is to determine if any sources (s) exist and, therefore, no RFP is available. Consequently, any response(s) failing to provide the aforementioned data but instead choosing to merely submit a routine letter requesting a copy of the RFP will be ignored.
