Enterprise Development Post -Award Procurement Networking Session
Annoucement for the MILLENNIA Acquisition. In a continuing effort to
enhance the General Services Administration (GSA) procurement
opportunities for small, small disadvantaged, and women-owned small
businesses, the Office of Enterprise Development (OED), in conjuction
with the Federal Technology Service's Office of Information Technology
Integration,will be conducting a Post-Award Procurement Networking
Session under the MILLENNIA Acquisition(MILLENNIA). MILLENNIA was
awarded to twelve Information Technology (IT) service providers. These
service providers are: Boeing Information Services, Inc., Booz Allen
& Hamilton, Computer Sciences Corp (CSC) Dyncorp I&ET, Inc., Lockheed
Martin Service, Inc., Logicon, Inc., OAO Corp., PRC, Inc., Raytheon
Technical Services Comp., Science Applications Intl Corp., Systems
Research and Applications Corp., and UNISYS Corp. MILLENNIA is a
multi-billiondollar acquisition that includes a broad scope of IT
services including new and emerging technologies which will evolve over
the life of MILLENNIA. These services may be required throughout the
United States, its territories and possessions, and in foreign
countries. The scope of suport to be provided under MILLENNIA is
intended to cover all requirements for IT, including computers,
ancillary equipment, software, firmware and similar procedures,
services (including twelve service)and related services. The twelve
service providers will be required to team and subcontract with various
small, small disadvantaged, and women-owned small businesses in order
to successfully compete for the acquisition and perform the work to be
let under the contracts. The networking session is intended to allow
the service providers to come together with these small firms to
discuss business interests with the hope of establishing a contracting
relationship for FTS2001 (Note: Many of the service providers
currently have small business team members). To provide the maximum
opportunity for small businesses to participate and receive award
consideration for this acquisition, the Standard Industrial
Classification code for the procurement is 7379. To ensure that the
potential prime contractors and the interested large and small business
representatives have effective communications for establishing
partnerhsips, teaming arrangements or sub contracting agreements, only
the first 150 firms to register will be allowed to participate in this
networking session. The networking session is schedulded for 1:00pm to
4:00pm on May 19, 1999 at the Wyndham Hotel, 1400 M Street, NW.,
Washington, DC 20005 (202) 429-1700. All businesses wishing to
participate in the networking session should register via internet at
