NOTICE OF INTENT TO NEGOTIATE A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT WITH SATLATIC, INC. Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with Satlantic, Inc. for the NOAA Pacific Marine Environmental Lab (PMEL). Purpose of contract is to perform modeling and empirical analyses on TAO data in combination with Satlantic data for the purpose of eucidating physical controls on upper ocean biogeochemical processes in the tropical Pacific. Objective of this contract is to determine how TAO data uniquely contribute to the understanding of these processes. Analyses will incorporate multi-spectral radiometer measurements from sensors developed by Satlantic Inc. Period of performance will be for one year (8/1/99 -- 7/31/00) with one option year.
