Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to provide additional specifications for the purchase. The system will utilize pager technology, graphic map interfaces, global position location, alpha numeric warning text, audible/vibrator alert, and localize warning/selectable disaster group pager warnings. The system will include Emergency Management Operating Center (EOC) software reconfiguration to display threat data from the national weather service. The data being displayed will be from either the NWS AWIPS system and/or the NWS weather wire. Three and one half months after the initiation of this task, the contractor will provide a single prototype unit which will be integrated with the Pikesville EOC. Two weeks after the inital test or four months after the initiation of this task, the contractor will deliver and test four additional units. Again, the test plan requirements will be defined by NASA and acceptance of the units will be contingent upon approval. The due date for receipt of offers is extended to May 26, 1999.
