On or about 21 May 1999, this office will issue a Small Business Set-Aside Request for Proposal for Indefinite Delivery type contract(s) for remediation of various hazardous waste sites Nationwide. The contract(s) will require the contractor to furnish and transport all plant, labor, materials and equipment to perform all work necessary to complete Immediate/ Rapid Response requirements at confirmed or suspected Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste (HTRW) and Ordnance and Explosive Waste (O/E) sites. Task orders issued under the contract(s) will be Fixed Price or Cost Reimbursable with Service or Davis-Bacon Act wages as applicable, depending on the type of project incorporated into each individual task order. The contractor shall provide personnel with current training as required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and other applicable training that may be necessary for work in HTRW situations. This solicitation is restricted to Small Business concerns. Standard IndustrialClassification code for this solicitation is 8744 and the size standard is 500 employees. The Government may award up to two (2) IDT contracts for a cumulative total amount not to exceed $14.9 Million Dollars. There will be no limit on the amount or the number of Task Orders that may be issued against the contract(s). Each contract(s) issued shall have a basic performance period of two (2) years with one (1) option period of three (3) years. The solicitation shall be available through INTERNET ACCESS ONLY. All solicitation documents will be posted to the Omaha District's Advertised Solicitation web site. The web site address is: http://ebs.now.usace.army.mil/ebs/contract.htm. Amendments to the solicitation will be posted to the web site. It shall be the contractor's responsibility to check the web site for any amendments.
