TITLE: NOTICE OF INTENT The 55th Contracting Office, Offutt AFB, NE intends to issue a sole-source delivery order under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Motorola, Inc of Hanover, MD for the acquisition of all parts, labor and equipment needed to upgrade existing Motorola Centracom Communications consoles to Motorola Gold Communications consoles. Also install new Centracom Gold consoles and provide 2-day training on systems. This notice will remain posted to the EPS (Electronic Posting System) and the CBD (Commerce Business Daily) for a total of 10 days to insure that a fair attempt has been made to seek other possible sources. Motorola is the only known source to manufacture this type of product. The work to be awarded under this delivery order is as follows: provide equipment needed to upgrade existing Motorola Centracom Communications consoles to Motorola Gold Communications consoles, provide equipment for new Centracom Gold consoles for Offutt Trunking System, install all new equipment associated with upgrade and to provide 2 days of training on the console system. The finished product must be Y2K compliant. This is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Request for copies of a solicitation in response hereto will not be honored or acknowledged; however, if a contractor feels that he/she may be able to submit a quote on this requisition, a list of the required items will be made available. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed delivery order based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the government. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this publication.
