59 -- REMOTE CONTROLLED CIRCUIT BREAKERS (RCCBS) SOL N61331-99-R-0028 DUE 052799 POC WANDA CUTCHIN (850) 234-4173/ Shirley Regan (850) 235-5354 The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Coastal systems Station, Panama City, Florida intends to issue a contract through limited competition to either Eaton Corp, 2250 Whitfield Avenue, Sarasota, FL or Babcock Engineering, 14930 East Alondra Blvd, La Mirada, CA for delivery of 64 Remote Controlled Circuit Breakers (RCCB's). Remote Controlled Circuit Breakers are required for the maintenance and operation of the landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC). The required RCCB is unique in that it has a 15-amp rating which is not widely used by commercial aircraft. The RCCB must be form, fit, and function equivalent to RCCBs currently used on the LCAC. Only two vendor are currently on the Qualified Products List (QPL) for furnishing RCCBs for use on the LCAC. Eaton Corp. part number SM601BA15N12 and Babcock part number #703-S0114 are the equivalent circuit breakers. The items being provided are unique and non-standard. Note 23 applies.
