The following answers are hereby incorporated into subject solicitation as a result of questions listed below as submitted by potential contractors: a. Q: We note the absence of any mention of the mileage to be placed on the vehicles to be procured. Does the Air Force have a reasonable estimate of the mileage on a monthly or annual basis? A: Anticipate 12,000 _ 15,000 miles or less per year. b. Q: Can the Air Force state where these vehicles will be operated _ local at McConnell AFB or throughout the USA? A: Nationwide. c. Q: Will these vehicles be used in any _police type_ function? A: The 4 x 4 1-ton vehicles are anticipated to be used in police type functions. d. Q: Will any animals be kept in the vehicles _ such as K-9 dogs? A: The 4 x 4 1-ton vehicles will be utilized to transport K-9 dogs. e. Q: Exactly how will the vehicles be utilized? A: The 4 x 4 1-ton vehicles will be used mainly for patrols. The 12 Ton pickups will be used as all-purpose vehicles. f. Q: Will any _special police type package_ be needed on these vehicles? A: No additional special police type packages are needed. However, gun racks are also anticipated to be added to the 4 x 4 1-ton vehicles. g. Q: Will these vehicles be operated off-road? A: Yes h. Q: Can you please tell us if similar vehicles have been leased recently by a competitor and if so, what was their rate? A: McConnell AFB has not entered into any leases for similar vehicles. j. Q: What other companies have requested a copy of the solicitation? A. No Bidders Mailing List has been compiled. Requirement is a combined synopsis/solicitation. A formal solicitation WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Requirements are listed in the Notice and any Amendments which follow. k. Q: Will the government accept a vehicle with 6000 GVWR? A: Yes, 6000 GVWR is fine.
