Required material includes Disk Drives and cables to replace low
capacity drive on instrumentation server. The instrumentation server is
used to support MM and PK Weapon System Testing. Coordinate measuring
machine. The Measuring System shall be a rigidly constructed,
self-contained turn-key system. The system shall be motor driven
design; with all guideway elements (i.e., base plates, crossbars and
spindles) made of state-of-the-art materials. The system shall have a
minimum cubic measuring envelope of about 28 inches x 40 inches x 24
inches (xyz) inches. An antivibration system shall be installed to
isolate from any environmental vibrations that would decrease the
capabilities and accuracies. The turn-key system shall include as a
minimum the following: A probe head capable of data entry in three
dimensions, one complete probe/stylus kit capable of combining into
diverse cluster, calibration spheres, an air filter system capable of
removing adverse precipitants, a computer capable of communicating with
storage and documentations systems all necessary interfaces, and a
complete software library including programs specifically designed for
contouring, scanning, and geometric analysis. For complete statement

proposed procurement is under a 100 percent small business set aside,
the size standard for which is 500 employees. An Ombudsman has been
appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during
the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the
Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or
contracting officer, but to communicate contractor, concerns, issues,
disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government
personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict
confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not
participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection
