The Defense Supply Service -- Washington, under authority of FAR 6.302, contemplates the award of a sole source commercial contract with Dialogic Communication Corporation, Franklin, Tennessee. This acquisition is for the purchase and installation of a high-speed notification system used for delivering interactive messages to agency and non-agency personnel in addition to citizens throughout the Pentagon and Navy Annex community. The system is to be specifically designed for crisis management and able to handle numerous and various emergency scenarios. The procurement will include warranty maintenance, support and training. The system will be able to interface with a "911" emergency system. This synopsis is a notice of intent to issue an award other than full and open competition and should not be considered a request for competitive proposals. The determination of the Government not to open subject requirement to full and open competition was made IAW FAR 6.302-1 and is solely at the discretion of the Government.
