The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) plans to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) under the Simplified Acquisition procedures for services of a contractor for the servicing of Secretary-held Home Equity Conversion Loans. This will be an unrestricted acquisition open to both large and small business. All offerors must be FHA approved Mortgage/ lenders as stated in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 24, Part 202 "Approval of Lending Institutions and Mortgagees." A transitional period not to exceed thirty days may be required for a new contractor for the purpose of receiving loan files/ documents and establishing the financial data in the contractors automated system's database. A formal RFQ will be issued on or about 04/26/99. The period of performance will be from the date of award through September 30, 1999. All request for the RFQ shall be faxed to Catherine Pinkney on (202) 708-2933, no telephone request will be accepted.
