A -- MARKET SURVEY FOR JOINT CONTINGENCY FORCE ADVANCED WARFIGHTING EXPERIMENT (JCF AWE) C4I TECHNOLOGY SOL NA DUE 033199 POC Point of Contact -- Ms. Desiree Bell, 732-427-3187. WEB: Additional information on JCF, http://wwwjointventure.monroe.army.mil/jcfawe.htm. E-MAIL: Market Survey for JCF AWE C4I Technology, belld@mail1.monmouth.army.mil. The CECOM RDEC ISIO is soliciting leap-ahead C4I hardware or software COTS/GOTS/NDI technology products for the Joint Contingency Force Advanced Warfighting Experiment (JCF AWE) that will contribute to one or more of the five phases of Enroute Mission Planning and Rehearsal (EMPRS). These phases include In Garrison, Departure Ramp, Enroute Operations, Roll Off at the arriving airfield, and Ground Operations. Adapted/modified/tailored technology must be sufficiently mature for an interoperability/capability demonstration to show some level of interoperability with the existing Army Battle Command Systems (ABCS) digital infrastructure, to include evolving Land Warrior Dismounted Soldier Systems. Capabilities selected and acquired in quantities sufficient for use as initiative and experiment excursions in the AWE must be available in Feb 2000 for system integration and training, with the actual user evaluation planned for Sep 2000 at the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) The JCF AWE will demonstrate potential advantages of digital communications and information exchange for the Light Force in restricted terrain as Task Force and Division XXI did for the Heavy Force. EMPRS represents the heart of the AWE and is considered critical for success of the user evaluation of new Light Force capabilities. Of particular interest are wide-band data communications between aircraft at ranges of 140-1000 miles, dismountable lightweight and low power C3I platforms, information processing, display and user interface capabilities, and short range data connections to Solider Systems that will extend the effectiveness of the Tactical Internet to the lower functional C2 levels. Submissions can be made directly to the CECOM POC cited below by 14 Apr 1999. Submissions should be limited to one to two pages of descriptive material, any relevant test data/test history, previous government involvement, and sources for added technical information. Material should be received by for consideration and possible participation in the AWE. Success in the AWE may lead to long-term acquisition and fielding for the Light Forces in the future. CECOM POC is Ms. Desiree Bell at 732-427-3187 (phone), 732-427-4959 (fax), and Commander CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-RD-DB, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703 for conventional mail or package delivery.
