This is an amendment to a previously posted pre-solicitation notice.
The Conference is to held in July, September, or October, instead of
June or July as previously advertised. The preferred months are
September or October. An amendment will be issued to the original
solicitation. [ORIGINAL SUBMISSION AS AMENDED: SCOPE OF REQUIREMENT:
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) requires the
facilities and ervices of a qualified hotel to provide guest rooms,
meeting rooms and related services for the Bank Risk Measurement
Symposium. The Symposium is to be held in July, September, or October,
1999 in Washington, DC, Crystal City, VA, or Rosslyn, VA. It is a
two-day meeting with one set-up day and can be held on any days from
Sunday through Friday. There will be approximately 350 to 500
attendees. 200 to 300 guest rooms will be required for two nights. The
two-day symposium will require general session (classroom or
combination classroom/theater), two concurrent sessions, three offices,
continental breakfasts, coffee breaks, lunchs, and dinner/reception.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: The hotel must: (1) be compliant with the Hotel
and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990, 15 U.S.C. 2201 et seq, (Public Law
101-391) and have a FEMA certification number; (2) be compliant with
the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 12101 et seq.
(ADA); and (3) have one of the following quality ratings: First class
or higher per the Official Hotel Guide; or three crowns or higher per
the OAG Business Travel Planner. HOW TO ACQUIRE A COPY OF THE
SOLICITATION: The OCC anticipates issuing the solicitation amendment on
or about March 26, 1999 with a proposal response date of April 6, 1999.
The solicitation document contains the details of the meeting, the
instructions for submitting a proposal, and how the proposals will be
evaluated. FAX your request for solicitation #CC-99-Q-0044 to the
attention of Sue Messina at 202-874-5625. All responsible sources may
submit a proposal which shall be considered by the OCC. OCC anticipates
issuing a contract on or about April 12, 1999 using the simplified
acquisition process under the Test Program for Certain Commercial Items
in Subpart 13.5. Offerors on the original mailing list need not submit
