70 -- CORE FINANCIAL SYSTEMS TESTING AND QUALIFICATION PROCESS INFORMATIONAL OPEN HOUSE The Chief Financial Officers (CFO) Council Financial Systems Committee and the Joint Financial Management Improvement Program (JFMIP) are hosting its third forum to share information with government and industry. The principal focus of this meeting is to share information about the test and qualification process that will be used to qualify core financial system software for use by Federal Government agencies for fiscal year 2000 and beyond. JFMIP will provide information about the quality review and internal testing of the revised qualification test and will present additional materials, which will assist vendors in their preparation to take the test. This meeting will also provide an update on the finalized Core Financial System requirements; a review of the vendor application process; and will highlight new additions to the Knowledgebase. GSA representatives have been invited to discuss 1) the future of contractual agreements made from the current FMSS schedule and 2) how to apply to GSA and who to contact for inclusion on a schedule once the software passes the test under the revised process.
