The Coastal Systems Station, Dahlgren Division, NSWC, Panama City, Florida intends to solicit competitive proposals on the test and measurement system for the Ocean Acoustics Turbulence Study project. The instrument will be an integrated pulse-mode hydroacoustical measurement system housed in a portable 6-slot VXI mainframe and with the following features: 1) means for hookup to an external computer through a MXI-PCI interface; 2) generation of two channels of sinusoidal phase-coherent signals for driving external power amplifier, differential calibration signal and digitizing clock; 3) generation of two independent channels of phase-coherent arbitrary waveform with a recurrent time base; 4) four independent signal digitizing channels with programmable acquisition windows, a minimum of 256KB memory segmentable in increments of 64 points; 5) a six channel signal conditioning front-end which will accept four high impedance differential hydrophone inputs, and two high voltage power amplifier levels for projector monitoring, and; 6) four synchronous gating waveforms independently programmable in width and delay from a frame reference.
