(SYSTEM INTERFACE ASSY(SIA). ITEM DEFINTION. THE AIRCRAFT ENGINE SYSTEM
INTERFACE ASSEMBLY HEREINAFTER CALLED THE SIA IS THE INTERFACE
EQUIPMENT FOR THE ENGINE ANALYZER UNIT (EAU) USED FOR ORGANIZATIONAL
LEVEL MAINTENANCE FOR THE F100 ENGINE MODEL DERIVATIVES EQUIPPED WITH
DIGITAL ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROL (DEEC) SYSTEMS. WHEN CONNECTED TO THE
DEEC, THE EAU CAN OPERATE IN AN ENGINE OPERATING CONTROL SYSTEM MONITOR
MODE OR IN A DEEC ONLY EVALUATION MODE. UNDER OPERATOR CONTROL, THE EAU
ALPHA NUMERIC DISPLAY INDICATES THE FUNCTIONAL STATUS OF EACH OF THE
FIFTEEN (15) ENGINE CONTROL SUBSYSTEMS. WHEN CONNECTED TO THE ENGINE
DIAGNOSTIC UNIT (EDU), VIA THE SIA, THE EAU CAN DETECT AND DISPLAY
INDICATION OF EDU AN DEEC HEALTH. MAJOR COMPONENT LIST. THE SIA SHALL
INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING COMPONENTS: CABLES, EAU TO DEEC, W82 (4 FEET)

EAU TO EDU, W3 (4 FEET) 506-899-01; ADAPTER CABLE: EDU TO W82, W121,

W146A, (16 INCHES) 506-902-01; CASE: SYSTEM INTERFACE ASSEMBLY,

MANUFACTURE: METAL CASE/CABLES/CONNECTOR BACKSHELLS WITH INSULATING

concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate
Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain
strict confidentially as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman
does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source
