This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS for manufacture of parts for = the=20 TF41-A400 and -A402D turbofan engines used in the A-7 Corsair II = aircraft. =20 Currently there is a requirement for Part Number 6897776, NSN = 2840-01-129-5305=20 High Pressure Turbine (HPT), Second Stage Vanes with an anticipated = requirement=20 for Part Number 6897777, NSN 2840-01-129-5306, HPT Second Stage Vane = (with=20 borescope inspection opening) and Part Number 6894686, NSN = 2840-01-056-2735,=20 HPT First Stage Vane. This sources sought synopsis is being issued in = an=20 attempt to develop a full and open competitive environment for the = acquisition=20 of these and various other parts in the TF41 engine, in support of = Foreign=20 Military Sales (FMS) customers in two countries. The original = equipment manufac turer (OEM) of the TF41 engine was Allison Engine Company now = Rolls-Royce=20 Allison. There is a minimum of 170 engines to be supported through at = least=20 the year 2008 -- 2010. The manufacturing and qualification of these = parts will=20 likely involve a collaborative effort between the OEM, part manufacture = and=20 subcontractor(s), an FMS customer and their commercial engine depot = facility. =20 To the best of our knowledge the original tooling for casting and other = manufacture operations has been lost, destroyed or modified for other = uses and=20 will require replacement.
