The purpose of this procurement is to repair AEDC Railroad Trackage from the end of CSX's turnout to AEDC in Tullahoma to a point approximately 200 yards inside Gate No. 4 at Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee, a distance of approximately 8.4 miles. Work includes replacing approximately 4000 to 4600 cross ties and approximately 40 switch ties, adding 1000 tons ballast, surfacing track, reworking two road crossings, and repairing approximately 20 stripped joints.
