This sources sought announcement is issued for the purpose of identifying sources providing consulting services and expertise in the areas of operational aviation weather forecasting and meteorology equipment in support of the Aviation Technical Services Meteorology program in McMurdo Station, Antarctica. Services sought include planning and conducting a Meteorology Program requirements analysis, evaluating forecasting support services and equipment, and developing a recommended meteorology program architecture improvement plan. The analysis will include but not be limited to improving fog forecasting capability and mesoscale modeling development. Aviation support forecasting, meteorology systems technology, and extreme cold region application experience is highly desired. This announcement is only an expression of interest. Future requirements and procurements are uncertain. The Government does not presently have a requirement and does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this announcement.
