The Naval Air Systems Command intends to solicit for technical services to address the airframe fatigue characteristics of the H-53E (S-80M) tail rotor pylon fold bulkhead. The services will require a detailed analysis of the pylon fold bulkhead, and specifically the pylon lock pin and pin actuator fatigue lives. Contractors responding to this solicitation must possess an active and detailed technical familiarity of the H-53E weapons' system. In addition to technical familiarity, the contractor must have the ability to fabricate and fine mesh model the H-53E tail rotor fold bulkhead, develop, utilize and instrument a flight representative loads fixture, impart current flight representative H-53E airframe loads, and reduce the accumulated data to generate quantifiable component fatigue lives.
