The Bureau of Reclamation, Snake River Area Office, Beulah Reservoir, located in Eastern Oregon has a requirement for a Traditional Cultural Property/Sacred Sites Inventory. At this time we anticipates a sole source award to the Burns-Paiute Tribe, HC 71, 100 Pasigo Street, Burns OR 97720-9303. We are looking for Class I(existing data) inventory of traditional cultural properties/sacred sites. The purpose of the inventory is to determine Tribal knowledge of resources or locations within the Beulah Reservoir area that are of traditional value to tribal members (including sacred sites, pursuant to Executive Order 12007), and to describe and identify such resources. Information from the inventory will also enable Reclamation to consider TCPs/sacred sites in relationship to other resources, as it deals with issues relating to future resource use and management around the reservoir. This contract will further the Burns Paiute Tribal goal of preserving their cultural heritage by recording their own history.
