On or about 04/12/99, this office will issue a Request for Proposal for the Long Term Operations and Maintenance of a Ground Water Treatment Plant located in North Muskegon, Michigan. The treatment plant has the capacity to treat 900 gallons per minute (gpm) of contaminated groundwater. The treatment systems includes a series of nine extraction wells that pump contaminated groundwater to the treatment facility. The treatment system includes two diffused air strippers and two powdered activated carbon treatment (PACT) vessels, with polishing provided by three tertiary sand filters and four granular activated carbon vessels. The treatment system also includes a solids residuals treatment system comprised of three filter presses and ancillary equipment. A thermal oxidation unit is provided to treat contaminants present in facility off gas. A pre-proposal conference will be held. Check solictation package for date, time and location.
