Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane Division is issuing a Sources Sought
Announcement for information pertaining to COTS wireless residential
security systems (CWRSS). This is being done for the Integrated
Security and Identification Systems (ISIS) Program Office, which is
conducting a market survey to identify sources for readily available,
CWRSS to satisfy the requirements stated below. 1. Components. The
basic CWRSS shall be comprised of the following components: (a)
glass-break detector with RF transmitter, (b) door position switch with
RF transmitter, (c) sensor signal receiver/dialer to either landline or
cellular system, and back-up battery operation, (d) other
motion/intrusion detection sensors suitable for residential
applications, and (e) a centrally monitored alarm assessment system. 2.
Performance. Manufacturer must warrant a properly installed systems to
be highly reliable and reasonably free from false and nuisance alarm
conditions. The central monitoring system must be configured to receive
incoming alarm signals and accurately display addresses and alarm
source within one minute of intrusion event detection. Include
transmitter frequency and output power for sensor transmitters.
Integrated systems that provide all of these features one source are
preferred over components from a variety of vendors that could be
integrated together, but the submission of component-level information
compliant with the focus of this inquiry are encouraged. PROCESS: This
is a market survey for written information only. This is not a
solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded
from this announcement. The response should indicate technical and
contracting points of contact, the size of the business and whether it
is a dealer or manufacturer of the item. All options and assumptions
shall be clearly identified and defined. This request for information
in no way implies either implicitly or explicitly that respondents will
be compensated in any way by the Government for information or
materials provided. All information provided becomes U.S. Navy property
and will not be returned. All product information must be mailed to the
