Submission No. 304284 dated 03 March 1999, issued as a Request for
Proposal. The Marine Corps Systems Command has changed its location for
lodging accommodations for the Battle Color from San Francisco, CA to
Oakland, CA and has deleted CLIN 0003 Conference Room Facilities and
CLIN 0004 Parking Fees. A revised, combined synopsis/solicitation for
commercial items has been prepared in accordance with Subpart 12.6, as
supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This
announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being
requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation
M67854-99-MR-WL078 is being issued as a Request for Proposal. This
solicitation document incorporates Provisions and Clauses that are in
effect through Federal Acquisition Circular #97-10. In accordance with
FAR Provision 52.212-2, the Government will award a contract resulting
from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer
conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the
Government, price, ability to meet product specifications and time to
delivery considered. Contract line items are as follows: CLIN 0001: 10
single rooms (for the period 18 -- 21 March 1999) CLIN 0002: 65 double
rooms (for the period 18 -- 21 March 1999) The lodging and shall be
located within walking distance of Jack London Square, Oakland, CA. The
contractor shall provide room accommodations with at least a full size
bed for singles or two full size beds for doubles, nightstand, lamp,
3 drawer chest, TV, phone, private bath, and a closet capable of
accommodating 20 articles of clothing on hangers. The contractor shall
provide daily maid service (i.e. fresh linens, vacuum, and make beds.)
The contractor shall have the capability to offer breakfast, dinner,
and room service and/or a restaurant facility in house. The contractor
shall have in-house security. Active duty discount rates preferred.
The following provisions apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1,
Instructions to Offerors-Commercial; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and
Conditions-Commercial Items; and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and
Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial
Items. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at
52.212-3. Provisions 52.212-3 and 52.212-5 can be found at the
