1999 AIR SHOW & OPEN HOUSE The Edwards Air Force Base community is currently in the planning stages of the 1999 Air Show & Open House. This is the 50th Anniversary of Edwards Air Force Base and the 40th Anniversary of the X-15. In addition to these commemorations, the Thunderbirds and Golden Knights will perform. This will make the last Air Show of the 20th century phenomenal as Edwards soars to the new millennium. Air Show dates are October 9 and 10. The attendance for the 1999 Air Show is expected to exceed 500,000 spectators. The Edwards community invites your company to participate as a corporate sponsor.
