The Library of Congress intends to issue a delivery order against an existing Basic Ordering Agreement to renew a subscription with The Library Corporation for the continued use and access of their database by the U. S. Department of Energy, Washington, DC(DOEL). The Library Corporation offers CD-ROM-based information databases and cataloging/retrieval software, BiblioFile. The CD-ROM databases include: LC MARC, Canadian MARC, British MARC, A/V Acess, DocuFile, and MARC en francais. The Library Corporation offers the NLIGHTN FOR LIBRARIES, a web-based subscription search service that provides access to over 400 databases, news wires, reference tools, and to the World Wide Web in a single search. Databases include ERIC, LC MARC, GPO, MEDLINE, US Patents. A subscription provides unlimited access to over 25 popular databases. For the databases not included in the Basic reference Collection, full records are available on a pay-per-view basis. Service will be continued through September 30, 1999.
