Project consists of replacement of A/C Plenum and A/C Units for military family housing units at Andersen AFB Guam. Major elements of work include, but are not limited to the following: (1) Removing existing supply air ceiling plenum; (2) Removal and replacement with new, of existing grills and registers; (3) Removal of fan coil, condensing unit, refrigerant piping, electrical wiring, and associated accessories in 76 two, three, and four bedroom housing units; (4) Installation of new metal ducts, insulation, gyp board duct enclosure; (5) Installation of new packaged exterior A/C unit, concrete slab, CMU enclosure walls and finish/painting of all work; (6) Providing accurate "red-lined" and "as-built" drawings for this project. Work also includes clean-up of premises at completion of project. Project magnitude is estimated between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The performance period will consist of a 90 calendar day mobilization period, followed by a 240 calendar day construction period, for a total performance period of 330 calendar days. The solicitation will be issued on or about 19 Mar 99, with proposals due by COB 19 Apr 99. A nonrefundable fee of $56.00, payable to U.S. Department of Treasury, is required for each solicitation package requested. This fee is intended to reimburse appropriated fund reproduction expenses associated with issuance of the solicitation. Only cashiers checks or money orders will be accepted.
