The National Processing Center, Bureau of the Census, located in Jeffersonville, Indiana, along with Census telephone centers in Hagerstown, Maryland, and Tucson, Arizona, is seeking potential sources and requests information on maintenance and service agreements for the following Private Branch Exchange (PBX) systems; Nortel Meridian 1, Option 81C in Jeffersonville; Nortel Meridian 1, Option 61C in Tucson; and Nortel Meridian 1, Option 11C in Hagerstown. The Census Bureau is considering entering into a single agreement for maintenance and service for all three sites that will include preventive, remedial, and emergency service, 24 hour monitoring service, a one point contact/phone number for all three sites, providing Nortel and/or Nortel certified equipment, and maintenance, troubleshooting, and service by Nortel certified technicians. This agreement may also require the contractor to plan/recommend and inventory PBX configurations for different applications, and provide an annualized minimum/maximum man-day format for on-site technical support. An agreement may be generated this fiscal year with three option years. Provided information should include different levels of service available and cost differentiation for varying response time to go as low as a two-hour response time, 24 hours per day, seven days per week, 365 days per year, including holidays. No solicitation document exists at this time and no award is anticipated as a direct result of this announcement.
