The DAMOS Program is an interdisciplinary effort which is essential to fully understand the interactions between physical, chemical, and biological parameters that occur following disposal operations and to assess the impact of disposal on the ambient environment. A sampling of required equipment is as follows: Research vessel (min l00'); work boat (min 20') with sampling davit and mechanical winch; microwave positioning system; LORAN C positioning system; computer based navigation and data acquisition system; precision survey fathometer; atomic absorption spectrophotometer; gas chromatograph/mass spectrometer; bottom boundary layer instrumentation array, etc. It is essential that the firm selected has the capability to provide the wide range of equipment, instrumentation, personnel and logistical support needed to conduct such a complex and dynamic program.
