COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF FEBRUARY 25,1999 PSA#229084 -- CLOTHING, INDIVIDUAL EQUIPMENT AND INSIGNIA The U. S. Army Natick
Research & Development Enterprise at the Soldier Systems Biological and
Chemical Command, Natick, MA is conducting a market investigation to
identify multiple function tools to fulfil the Army's requirements. The
U.S. Army is interested in locating firms with capabilities to provide
multiple function tools that are palm sized or smaller to be used for
survival and general purpose maintenance and repair. Features should
include a set of pliers (general purpose or needlenose), wire cutters,
grippers, coarse and fine files, slotted and phillips type bits, and
should also include a series of other generally useful tools such as a
wave-edge blade, metric and standard rulers, saw blade, clip blade, an
adapter bit, and bottle and can opener. Interested sources must, within
thirty (30) days following the publication of this synopsis, respond
with information on their product(s). Interested sources shall include
information detailed in CBD Note 25 regarding a firm's experience,
personnel, and facilities. Information should include product cost,
literature and illustrations, relevant company background/ experience,
and a sample. Firms responding shall indicate whether or not they are
a small business. The size standard for this industry (3423) is 500
employees. Any information submitted will not be returned. If a firm
chooses to submit samples, no payment will be made by the Government
