basic contract with two, 1-year options for essential repair of
6220-00-054-9503 C-141 Navigation Lights (T.O. 8A1-56-3-3),
6220-00-655-2862 B-52 Navigation Lights (T.O. 8A10-8-3-3),
6220-01-198-7217 B-52 Taxiing Lights (T.O. 8D10-10-2-3), and
6220-00-165-5859 UH-1 Landing Lights (T.O. 8D10-2-27-3). Yearly BEQs,
respectively, are 6 ea, 14 ea, 3 ea, and 3 ea. No GFM/GFE available for
contractor use. Firm, fixed price repair will be solicited with
Government required delivery of 30 days ARO. Bidders will be required
to provide details demonstrating their abilities to perform the
repairs. Govt Furnished Mtrl and End Item Transaction Repoprting is
required. This requirement is for contractual coverage of the depot
repair line during workload transfer from Kelly AFB to gaining Govt
facilities. Estimated RFP date is 16 Mar 99. All potential offerors
should contact the buyer/PCO identified in this notice for additional
information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this
acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the contracting
officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors
or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of an
acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the
program director or Contracting Officer, but communicates Contractor
concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate
Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain
strict confidentially as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman
does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source
